River Heights, Utah: Pearl Elizabeth Bindrup Heninger, 96, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Logan Nursing Home. She was born December 29, 1908, in River Heights, a daughter of Nephi and Elizabeth Schenk Bindrup. She was the fifth of eight children, all of whom have preceded her in death. She married Rulon K. Heninger in the Logan LDS Temple on July 27, 1934. She received her education at the River Heights Elementary School and South Cache High School. She played the violin in orchestras at South Cache and USAC under the direction of Professor N. W. Christensen.
She was active in her church and in civic affairs. She was president of the PT A when the River Heights Elementary School was built in 1950. She began teaching Primary when she was 13 years old and has been president of the Primary and YWMIA. She served on the Primary Board in the Logan and Mt. Logan Stakes.
She has also done extensive genealogy and family history work and has been a historian for the River Heights Daughters of Utah Pioneers. In 1975-76, she and Rulon served in the Kentucky-Louisville Mission.
She is survived by Klay (Pat) Heninger, of North Ogden, Varda (Kent) Gunnell, of River Heights, Mada (Steven) Ashment of North Logan and a step-daughter, Jackie (Bruce) Elliott, of Ontario. She was preceded in death by a son, Jared and an infant son. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 E. Center Street. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Mortuary.
