Phil Warner

January 18, 1940 — July 3, 2011

Phil Warner, of Logan,Utah, age 71 slipped peacefully from this life July 3, 2011, with his beloved daughter by his side. Phil was born on January 18, 1940 in Heyburn, Idaho, 13th of 14 children. He was the youngest surviving child of Melvin and Drusilla Warner.
Phil married Sharon Pruett. From that union was born his daughter Brenda Lee. They were later divorced. He married Donna Jane Pruett. Phil and Donna adopted two sons, Curtis and Robert. Donna preceded him in death in 2007.
He valiantly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy in the Viet Nam War. Phil was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served two missions for the church, as a young man in Guatemala, and later with his loving wife, at the LDS Institute of Religion, in Logan. He was a devoted home teacher, loving and serving those he visited. Phil would help anyone at any time. If there was ever a problem, the family knew they could call 1-800-UNCLEPHIL.
Phil is survived by his children, Brenda (Ryan) Newbold, Robert Warner, and Curtis Warner, his grandchildren; Kymberlee, Bryan, Aimee, Cody, and Benjamin Newbold, Perry Warner, Jennifer, Ashley and Andrew Warner; 2 brothers and 6 sisters: Flora Keating, Margaret (Peggy) Clark, Chet Warner, Cleo Poulton, Rose Thornton, David (Jean) Warner, Una (Glen) Grant and sister-in-law, Gerri Warner. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers; Florence, Ione (Toni) Schmidtlein, LarryWarner, Wanda Burgess, Anne, and Orrin Warner.
Funeral services for Phil will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 in the LDS church Chapel located at 792 North 500 East, Logan, Utah, with a viewing from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery following the services.
