Phyllis Henderson Nielsen passed away peacefully April 11, 2015 at Willow Glen Health and Rehab in Brigham City, Utah. She was born November 13, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio. She spent many years living in Whittier, California after marrying Joseph Henderson in 1947. Phyllis and Joe relocated to Brigham City, Utah in 1975. Joe passed away in 1994.
Phyllis was married to Chase Nielsen from 1995 to 2007, enjoying years of traveling to many faraway places and fishing close to home.
Loving landscaping and always an avid gardener, she participated in several clubs in Brigham City, including the Spade and Hope Garden Club, the Shade Tree Commission, and the Museum Gallery Board. You could always count on her to tell you a corny joke. She was always ready to take an active role in many new endeavors and was a true friend to everyone who knew her.
Phyllis is survived by her 3 children, Roy, Pam, and Doug, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. 3 step children Terry, Greg and Sherrie, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren from her marriage to Chase Nielsen.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Allen Mortuaries, 34 Center Street, Logan, Utah.
