Phyllis Mauchley Toolson passed away peacefully at her
Smithfield home on December 31, 2006. She was born to
Ernest and Luella Mauchley April 4, 1916. She is
proceeded in death by her husband R. Lynn Toolson, her
brothers Eldon, Glen, Theron, Grant, Russell, and Don
Mauchley and sister Fern Forsberg.
She is survived by her children Lynda (Peter) Snell
(Moraga Ca.), Kay (Judy) Toolson, (Eugene Or.) Brent
(Ann) Toolson, (Logan Ut.) and Jan (Randy) Thalman.
(Manteca Ca). She is also survived by Four
grandchildren Michael (Tanya) Snell, Jeffrey (Becky)
Snell, Kelli and Garret Thalman, and great grandson
Mikey Snell.
Phyllis has always been active in The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints. Phyllis and Lynn were
married in the Logan temple on June 30, 1941.
Phyllis has enjoyed traveling and visiting her
children, grandchildren, and great grandson. Through
the years she enjoyed playing ball with her brothers.
She also enjoyed bowling and later took up golf. You
could find her out playing golf every Thursday with
the Smithfield Women’s Golf Association where she was
Club Champion in 1975. She has always loved her flower
gardens and following the Aggies, Utah Jazz and many
other sporting events.
Her family and friends will miss her. She was raised
in Nibley until her marriage, then she lived in
Smithfield most of her married life.
A service will be at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 E. Center
St., on January 4, 2007 @ 12:00 Noon. Friends may call
the evening prior from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. there will be no viewing prior to the services on Thursday. Interment will be at the Smithfield Cemetery.
