Raeleene Richman Clawson

February 10, 1952 — December 12, 2018

Raeleene Richman Clawson, 66, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Dec. 12. She was born to DaWayne Richman and Ila Rae Hall Richman of Paradise. On August 6, 1971, she married Shyrl Mackay Clawson in the Logan Temple.

Raeleene was the greatest accompanist the world could ask for whether that be at the piano, in the classroom, raising her three sons, or alongside her husband of forty-seven years. While she was incredibly talented, she spent most of her time and energy showcasing and cultivating the talents of those around her. She was gifted in the arts of music, crochet, embroidery, and mother/grandmotherhood.

She will be missed by many social circles in Cache Valley, the place she called home for almost her entire life including the faculty, staff, and students of Mount Logan Middle School where she accompanied the choirs; fellow members of the American Festival Chorus, which she sang in for several years; the Providence Stakes of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as Stake Organist for decades among several other musical callings; the organizers of the Home Arts Building at the Cache County Fair; the local chapter of the Music Teachers Association; and the hundreds of piano students she taught out of the piano studio in her home.

Raeleene is survived by her husband, Shyrl, and sons Justin (Lisa), Corey (Andrew), and Ryan (Meg). She is survived by her two sisters, Joyce (Lynn) and Paulette (Reed), her brother

Gregory (Ann), and her dear grandsons Braydon and Kyler. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is also survived by her cats who also adored her, vying for her attention each morning as she woke up and each night as they curled up next to her and slept. She left this world the best way imaginable: peacefully and encompassed in love. Her absence is felt intensely by many.

A viewing in her honor will take place at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, from 6-8 pm on the 18th. A second viewing will precede the funeral from 9:30-11 am on the 19th. The funeral will take place from 11 am to 12 pm. Both will be located at the LDS church house at 420 W 100 N, Providence, UT.
