RAMONA NIELSON HARDMAN

Ramona N. Hardman, 83, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Roy, Utah, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and a debilitating stroke. She would have been 84 on Sunday, July 8.
Born July 8, 1928, in Millville, Utah, to L. Kenneth and Hazel Nielson. Married Grant L.
Hardman April 26, 1949, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Her parents moved to Smithfield, Utah, when she was a young woman, where she graduated from North Cache High in 1946.
Ramona was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many positions. Ramona supported Grant while he served a full-time mission to Montana from 1956 – 1958, selling their new house and leaving her to raise three young children at home. She and Grant served a full-time mission together to South Africa from 1985-1986.
Her husband Grant suffered health problems nearly all his adult life and was lovingly cared for by Ramona. They were lucky to have spent nearly 55 years together.
Survived by her sons Alan (Ellie) Hardman, Salt Lake; Kendall (Brenda) Hardman, West Point; Eldon Hardman, St. George; Blair (Karen) Hardman, Clearfield; daughter Raquel Sessions, Thayne, Wyo.; sisters Thais (LaMar) Nelson, Smithfield; Coreen (Eldon) Quinney, Monroe; Vaudis Magelby, Monroe; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister MaLoy Parkinson.
Mom, your family is so proud of your life and your example, for your love and devotion to Dad, your family, and your church. Your children are grateful to you for being our parent and for all you did for us. Thank you, Mom. You will always be in our hearts.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m., Saturday July 7, at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, Logan, Utah. A brief graveside service for family will follow at the Logan City Cemetery.
