Raymond Lamont Galloway
February 25, 1947 — December 9, 2022
Raymond L. Galloway, 75 returned to the arms of his beloved wife and Father in Heaven on December 9, 2022. He was born February 25, 1947 in Asheville, North Carolina to Dorothy and Theodore "Ted" Jackson. Raymond attended and graduated from Stevens Lee High School as well as taking several various business courses after graduation.
Raymond worked several different jobs through out his life. Some of his favorites included working at TJ Maxx, Conservice, and Home Depot. He had many friends and enjoyed going to work.
Raymond loved motorcycles and golf but his favorite thing was spending time with his "hunny" Kristi. Whether that was watching football, going on drives or just sitting talking. She was the love of his life. In being with her he gained three daughters who he took right in and loved them endlessly and they adored him. He was an adoring grandfather to his grand children and a loved neighbor and friend.
On Father's Day 2018, Raymond was able to re-connect with his son Frederick and was building a relationship and that brought him much joy.
Raymond was an amazing man who loves the Lord and his family. He will be missed greatly.
Raymond is survived by his children Betsie (Brian), Jensen, Mycalah (Matthew), Knighton, Frederick (Tanya) Hurst, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife Kristi, daughter Hilary, his mom and many other loved ones that met him there to welcome him home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 11:00 am with a viewing prior from 10:00 to 10:45 am at 360 W. 3200 S. Nibley, Utah 84321.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Portage Cemetery in Portage, Utah
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
