Raymond P. Adams

Raymond Packer Adams, 92 passed away peacefully in his home December 11, 2011.
Raymond was born June 11, 1919 in Marsh Valley, Idaho, the son of Edsel Hyrum
Adams and Nessie Mecham Packer, one of nine children.
He served overseas in the military in WWII as officer in the in the Army Corp of
Engineers.
He received a B. S. degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State, Logan, Utah. He
moved his family to Yuba City, California in 1956, residing there for more than 55 years,
working for Cal- Trans for over 39 years.
He married Ida Erma Olsen on October 7, 1950 and they were sealed in the Oakland
Temple, June 11, 1965. She passed away on November 18, 1989.
"Papa" will forever be loved and remembered by his two sons Bruce Adams (Susan)
of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Brent Adams (Denice) of Los Angeles, California; three
daughters, Ida Niederhauser (Max) of Providence, Utah, Eula Deakin of Tremonton, Utah
and Terri Gibbons (Junius) Gibbons of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters Elvira Jeffs of Idaho
Falls, Idaho, Norma Furniss of Moreland, Idaho and Donna Springer of Camden, New
Jersey, 20 grandchildren and more than 35 great-grandchildren, along with countless
friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He loved being with his family,
traveling and sharing produce from his garden.
Raymond touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity.
Funeral services were held in Yuba City, CA on December 17, 2011
A viewing will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, in Logan,on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a gravside service at 12:00 p.m.
in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net .
