Reed J. Saltern, 71, of Logan, Died April 4, 2023 working just outside of his home. Born February 16th, 1952, in Logan, Utah to Delbert and Esther Johnson Saltern. He had 5 brothers and 6 sisters. LeRoy, Jerry, Bruce, Steven, Richard, Rae, Patricia, Linda, Jolynn, Sharen and Karen. Grew up on ‘The Island’ as it’s commonly referred to. Reed is survived by his son Zane Saltern, Vanessa (Adam) Bezzant, Dana (Tony) Brown, Coby (Jamie) Saltern, Geo Hansen as well as his 9 grandchildren, Bauer Brown, Samantha Brown, Reagan Brown, Macie Brown, Amelia Saltern, Redden Saltern, Max Saltern, Daemian Bezzant and Melanie Bezzant. Reed was a general contractor by trade, took pride in being self-sufficient and spent his free time doing what he loved, being outside and active. He loved sports, horses, hunting and especially fishing in his later years. He had the spirit of a lion and there was never a dull moment in his presence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14th, 2023 at Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 East Center, Logan UT 84321, Viewing 10:00am to 11:30am, funeral services at noon, followed by graveside services. He will be laid to rest in the Paradise, Utah cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations towards funeral costs would be appreciated. www.allenmortuaries.com
