PARADISE, UTAH: Reid LeRoy Tams passed away Thursday January 19th, 2012 at his son Tony’s home in Clinton, Utah at age 79.
He returned to his Heavenly Home to be greeted by everyone in his family except his youngest sister Tammara who lives in Bristo, Virginia.
He was born June 11, 1932 in Logan, Utah to Roy Richman Tams and Thelma Bankhead.
Reid grew up in Paradise Utah. After his military service during the Korean war Reid returned home and married Doreen Marie Wright on April 14, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. They both served 3 LDS missions in Australia Sydney South, New Jersey Cherry Hills and the Utah Conference Center and Temple Square . Reid served in the Church all of his married life in every capacity he was ever called to.
Reid was a self employed Drywall Contractor and a successful business man.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling , reading western novels and playing cards with loved ones.
Reid and Doreen have 9 children: Camille Spatz, Tony (Michelle) Tams, Cynthia (Doug) Hubregsen, Kathleen Olsen, Alan Tams, Jennifer (Scott) King, Joseph (Donnelly) Tams, Mathew Tams, Amy Tams, 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 at 11am in the Paradise 4th Ward chapel, 155 East 9600 South (new church). A viewing will be held one hour prior. Friends may visit on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 6 - 8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, 34 East Center St. Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery with military honors.
