RG Lisonbee -- Our loving husband, father and grandfather, RG Lisonbee, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, at his daughter Kathleen Lisonbee Day’s home in Farr West, Utah. RG was born on August 11, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hosea Lynn Lisonbee and Rachel Ostergaard. As a boy he learned the value of hard work growing up on a farm in the Uintah Basin during the depression. He attended the local schools and graduated from Altamont High School in 1943. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1945 and served there until after the end of World War II. RG attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah while majoring in Animal Husbandry. He certified as a Master welder. He married his sweetheart, Norma Mary Condie in the Logan LDS Temple on June 27, 1952. They moved to Providence, Utah in 1958 where they raised their family. He worked at Thiokol, Utah State University on the Track Master, Hill Air Force Base, and Lundahl’s John Deere. He owned and operated Valley View Dairy. His family was always a priority and he was a great example of a good neighbor. He was always willing to help a neighbor or friend in need. He will be greatly missed by his wife Norma; sister Billie Woods; daughters: Kathleen (Jimmy) Day and Mary Lisonbee; sons: John (Wendy), Dale (Lori), and James (Cheri); grandchildren: Ryan (Nicole), Rachael, Michael Day, and Melissa Day Sorensen (Jeremy); Kamille and Richard Lisonbee; Justin, Robert, Andrew, Emily, and Brandon Lisonbee; Rich, Sean, and Alison Lisonbee; Michael, Alissa, and Jordan Drummond, and Sara Drummond Fowers (Joe), and 7 great grandchildren: Misty, Seth, Mathew, and Samuel Day; Paige, Parker, and Preston Sorensen. Preceded in death by 3 sons, Keith, Norman, and Ralph Lisonbee. Funeral services will be held at the LDS chapel at 309 S Main in Providence, Utah, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 22nd. A viewing will take place prior to the funeral, from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery, 1000 N 1200 E, Logan Utah, following the service.
