Rhea Hulme Wallentine

Rhea Hulme Wallentine, 80, passed away September 12, 2018 in North Logan, Utah. Rhea was born April 1, 1938 in Paris, Idaho, to Amos B. Hulme and Della Roberts Hulme. Rhea grew up with a love of horses, eventually landing her the title of Rodeo Queen in Bear Lake County. She could ride with the best of them and often joined the cowboys for roundups. She graduated from Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho in 1956.

Rhea married Venoy Wallentine on August 23, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. After Venoy's untimely death in 1964, Rhea attended USU, graduating in Elementary Education and Psychology in 1969.

Rhea was a counselor at Logan High School from 1969 to 1995. She also worked for USU Admissions for another five years before retiring. Rhea enjoyed spending time in southern Utah hiking and biking, gardening, watching Utah Jazz games, cutting firewood, doing puzzles and spending time with friends.

Rhea was preceded in death by her husband, Venoy, her parents, her sister, Norma, and brothers: Gerald, George and Glen. She is survived by her sons, David (Jennifer), Heber City, Utah, Douglas, Franklin, Vermont, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15th at 11:00am at the Lundstrom Park LDS Church at 1260 North 1600 East, Logan, Utah with a viewing prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30am. A viewing will also be held Friday evening, September 14th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 East Center, Logan.
