Rhea Allred Wilson, beloved mother, sister and friend, passed away April 10, 2013 surrounded by her family. Rhea was born in Park City, Utah, August 1, 1943 to Cleon and Mildred Leavitt Allred. Her early years were spent playing with her sisters and cousins in the glorious shadows of the Uintah mountains in Neola, Utah. Rhea had a special place in her heart for horses and anything western. She learned how to be a lady from her mother, and how to be tough from her father. A little bit of a rebel, Rhea was a hard worker and was not afraid to get her hands dirty.
Rhea was sealed in the Logan Temple and welcomed 7 children into her family. Fiercely loyal and defending of her children, Rhea had a special and unique bond with each child and loved to tell stories about them to whoever would listen.
Rhea worked multiple jobs while supporting her husband through school.as they moved across the country. They created many fond memories as schooling took them to Hawaii, Virginia, Missouri, Oklahoma, and eventually North Logan, Utah where she found “home” and continued to raise her family.
Rhea became a bus driver for Cache County School district and enjoyed getting to know so many of the children. She would often volunteer to take extra assignments so she could be part of the activities. She loved crafting and there wasn’t a hand tool she didn’t know how to use.
Rhea loved a party and enjoyed having her family around - campfires in the backyard, cheating at card games, and cuddling with each one of her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and truly showed the love of Christ. Rhea’s ability to make anyone feel accepted and loved often found her home full of family and friends.
Rhea was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters; Cleo Wignall and Marlene Allred. She is survived by two sisters, Diane (Julian) Smilowitz, and Elna (Jerry) Kilpack; her 7 children: Daniel (Patricia) Wilson, North Logan; Debra (Joe) Gillis, Pinedale Wyoming; Dennis (Lisa) Wilson, West Jordan; Drew (Michelle) Wilson, Hyrum; Everett (Tifannie) Wilson, North Logan; and Trina Wilson (Zachary Yelton), North Logan; and 16 grandchildren.
Dearest Rhea, “You know I love you don’tcha.”
