Rhonda Jorgensen
Hyde Park - Rhonda Lea Kropf Jorgensen, 47, left the pain and suffering of this world to return to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Rhonda passed away on Friday September 20, 2013 at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation with her biggest fans, her husband and son at her side.
Rhonda was born August 14, 1966 in Logan, Utah to James Edward Kropf and Freda Earlene Floyd. She was the second of six children.
Rhonda attended school at Providence Elementary, South Cache, and Sky View High School. She was part of the first graduating class of Mountain Crest High School which got her a lot of teasing from her husband and son who were both Bobcats.
Rhonda spent three years living in Denver before returning to Cache Valley and Mountain Farms where she met her husband. After Mountain Farms she worked for several companies before finding the job she loved at Canyon View Orthopedics. She worked with friends and enjoyed the time she had there.
Rhonda had many callings in the church but her favorite was being in the Primary. She loved the many people she got to serve with especially the children. She was also blessed with several lasting friendships that started as visiting teaching partners. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and maintained that faith to the end.
Rhonda was married to David Jorgensen on March 27, 1993 and blessed with Kyle Jorgensen on November 18, 1994. Her greatest joy was in being a mother and wife. She worked tirelessly to provide a happy home and make sure they had the things they needed. She always put others needs above her own. She was so proud of Kyle in everything he did. She was never happier than when she was watching him play sports, football was always her favorite. In her eyes he never lost a game. She patiently waited and was delighted to be sealed to her family for time and all eternity on February 14, 2012.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father James Kropf who she has missed dearly. We are happy for them to have been reunited. She was also preceded by her grandparents and an uncle. She is survived by her husband David and son Kyle, her mother Freda Kropf of Providence, her five siblings, Vickie Kropf of Reno, NV., Sheri (Brian) Ward of Providence, Daniel (Amber) of Logan, Joe (Amber) Bothwell, James (Kristen) of Logan. She is also survived by her in-laws Garry and Mary Lynn Jorgensen of Hyde Park, seven brother in-laws and their families, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the Hyde Park 7th ward chapel, 75 E. Center Street. A viewing will be held from 10 - 11:30 prior to the funeral at the church and from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 E. 1800 N. Interment will take place in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the service that was given to us over the last year and a half. Thanks to the many friends who visited with Rhonda, to the 7th ward for meals and various service projects, to all those who mailed or dropped of gas cards or money so that David could get to Salt Lake to be with her, to the many doctors nurses and aides who helped her in so many ways, and to Garry and Mary Lynn who made sure Rhonda got her medicine food and everything else she needed while David worked.
She was an amazing woman who touched the lives of all those who knew her. She loved everyone and taught us so many things. She will be missed greatly until we meet again.
