'A Celebration of Life'
Richard H. Bodily, 75, died Friday September 18th, 2015 in Logan, Utah.
He was born November 15th 1939 to Lawrence Cole Bodily and Mary Henderson Bodily and was raised in Whitney, Idaho on the family farm.
He served a mission for the LDS church in the Northwestern States. After his mission he enrolled in the military and served in the National Guard During the Vietnam War.
Richard attended BYU where he studied electronics and became a true BYU fan.
He was employed at Logan Regional Hospital as an electronic technician until he retired in 2009.
Richard loved to learn.  Science and history were his favorite topics and he tried to pass this knowledge onto his grandchildren. He would say almost daily "I have learned something new today". Richard also loved art and has done many paintings in oils, pencil and charcoal.   He
also loved dancing, and that is where he met Deanna Fairbourn his love and eternal companion.
They have three children. Scott (Andrea) Bodily, Charlene (Clint) Mackay, Ryan (Jennifer) Bodily.  Seven grandchildren Kaden, Amber, Kaleb, Conner, Cole, Airika and Tate.
Richard is survived by two brothers and a sister. Robert (Christine) Bodily,  Gordon (Lynette) Bodily, Karen (Ray) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mary Bodily, a brother Merlin, and a sister Arlene.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 in the Foothill  2nd Ward Chapel, 1450 East 1500, North Logan, Utah.  A viewing for family and friends will be Friday, September 25th, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, Utah and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to services. He left us a legacy of art, science, and most of all his love.  We will miss you.
