Providence- Richard Fred Chugg, 56, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at his home in Providence after a 3 year battle with spinal cancer.
Richard was born to Duard and Tyra in April of 1957 and resided in Providence for the majority of his life.
Dad graduated from Sky View High School and later married Susan Joann Bassett in June of 1982 and raised 3 kids together. For over 20 years, he was employed at ATK as an inspector of rocket boosters and even assisted in Florida at the Kennedy Space Center.
Dad loved to spend his time in Island Park with his family and friends. Dad was a huge Nascar fan and spent many days with his lifelong friend Kirk Fuhriman. He also loved tinkering in the garage with cars and always finding projects to work on outside. The things that have brought him the most joy the past few years has been the birth of his grandchildren (Shelby, Camden, and Aurie) who could always bring a smile to his face.
He is survived by his parents Duard and Tyra, his brothers David, Kevin (Cindy), Dee (Melissa) , and Hal (Danelle), his sisters Marie (Kent), Janell (Russ) and Renae (Troy). He is also survived by his 3 children Clinton (Chelsea), Casey (Jamie), and daughter Tanaya.. We can't forget to mention his beloved dog, Rocky.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Providence City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net .
