Richard A. DeMulling ,88, passed away at Cache Valley Assisted living on the morning of the 8th of February, 2022. Richard was born on the 25th of April, 1933 along with his twin brother Donald in River Falls, Wisconsin to Francis and Lenore DeMulling. He had two older brothers, Daniel and Robert and one sister, Denise Muir. He moved to Montana when he was 17 years old and then on to Seattle, Washington. He graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle in 1952. He went to work for the Boeing Company and joined the U.S. Coast Guard. After serving in the Coast Guard for 4 years, he went on To Barber School in Seattle and barbered for 45 years. He married Barbara Haukom while serving in the Coast Guard. He and Barbara had two children, David and Cindy. After 12 years he and Barbara were divorced.
A few years later, he met Joyce Anthony Hone, and she introduced him to the Church of Latter Day Saints. He joined the church on February 24, 1973, he found much joy in serving the church. He held such positions as Elder's Quorum President, Counselor in the Bishopric, High Councilman, Stake Sunday School President, and many other callings.
He and Joyce were married on the 16th of June, 1973. Joyce had 4 children, JoDeane, Craig, Liesa, and Jeffery, so that made a family of 6 children. They were later sealed in the temple on August 10, 1995.
Richard was survived by all 6 of his children, his wife Joyce, and 2 of his brothers.
Richard will be buried in the Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley, Washington
