Rita Bickmore Swenson Krebs

NORTH LOGAN, UTAH: Rita Bickmore Swenson Krebs, 79, of North Logan, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday, May 24, 2009 in Logan.
Rita was born in Nibley, Utah to Olie and Margaret Bickmore Swenson. She married Floyd William Krebs on June 19, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Rita graduated from South Cache High School and Seminary in 1947 and attended U.S.U. for two years. She served in various callings in Sunday School, Primary (25 years) and Relief Society. Rita enjoyed scrapbooking, sewing, cooking and gardening. She spent a great deal of time with her children and grandchildren. Rita had a strong testimony of the gospel and family history. She served five missions with Floyd locally, Pennsylvania and three in Hawaii. Rita was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was always so giving and patient in dealing with family and friends. Floyd and Rita served as temple workers for nine years. They traveled to many countries and influenced many lives for good..
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Krebs , North Logan; children, Susan and Gordon Foreman, White Rock, New Mexico; Starla and Vincent Jones, Findlay, Ohio; Kim F. and June Morrill Krebs, Hyde Park; Conley W. and Diana Prisbrey Krebs, North Logan; Janis and Glen Dautrick, Providence. They were blessed with 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Carma and Leo Forsberg, Bountiful; two sisters-in-law, Lois Swenson, Bountiful; Arilla Swenson, Tooele, Utah. She was preceded in death by four brothers two sisters-in-law ; one brother-in-law and a sister; Theo Lavoir and Lois Swenson; Allen Bickmore and Elaine Swenson; Carl David Swenson; Lorna May Peterson; Dale Lee and Ann Swenson.
We would like to express thanks to all those who have assisted Rita and her family during this difficult time. Our special appreciation to Hospice, Legacy House and the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the North Logan Stake Center, 2750 North 800 East. There will be a viewing Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan and at the church on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
