Robert Kent France, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Paradise, UT, on February 17, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer and other health complications.
He was born in Logan, UT on November 5, 1953 to Lee Kent and Helen Christensen France. He grew up on “Stingy” Street in Hyrum, UT and attended Lincoln School, South Cache Junior High and Sky View High School before enlisting in the United States Army where he served in several states and Germany from 1971 to 1974.
He married Taunya Leishman on April 1, 1976 and had two daughters, Jamie and Marci. They were divorced. He then married his true love, sweetheart and soul-mate, Vikki Wright Broberg on April 17, 1986, and also gained Darrell JR, Amy, and Leslie.
Bob loved hunting, horses, and “Hawgs”. He was a skilled mechanic and could fix anything.
He is survived by his wife Vikki of Paradise and Carlin, NV; daughters Jamie Tibbitts and Marci (Nick) Perry, both of Nibley, UT; Amy Denson, and Leslie (Freddy) Hernandez, both of Logan, UT; son JR Broberg, Logan, UT; sisters Dolores (Ivan, deceased) Thurman, Midvale, UT; Gwen (Frank) Christiansen, Hyrum, UT; brothers: Ralph France, Elsinore, UT;, Dan France Nibley, UT; and Duane (Holli), France, Farr West, UT; brother-in-law Michael (Judy) Wright, Smithfield, UT; father-in-law Arthur Wright, Logan, UT; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Maurene Wright.
We will all miss his dimpled smile and wicked sense of humor.
It was Bob's desire to be cremated. Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, Logan, UT.
