Robert L Freeman of Logan, Utah died on November 19, 2023, at the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City from Mantle Cell Leukemia. He was 62 years old.
He was born on August 15 th , 1961, to Dinna (Bateson) Freeman and Roy Freeman, the fourth child of four children and only boy, having 3 older sisters. He grew up in Logan, attending Wilson Elementary, Logan Junior High School, and Logan High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He spent a lot of summers on the shores of Bear Lake, boating and water skiing. The winters were spent at Beaver Mountain snow skiing. He loved fishing with his Grandpa Bateson. His life was spared once after falling into a pit at the age of 5 and having a rebar enter his chest and almost pierced his lung. In his later years he enjoyed 4-wheeling and motorcycling.
He was a loving, kind person and developed lifelong friendships. He enjoyed serving and helping others. He would often give people his tools if they needed them. He worked in the construction industry specializing in dry-wall and was well known for his quality work, traveling to work all over Utah and Idaho.
He showed extra-ordinary courage as he faced obstacles in his life, especially in his fight with cancer. Rob is loved by his many nieces and nephews and was surrounded by loved ones when he died.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Freeman and survived by his mother Dinna Bateson Freeman and his sisters, Brenda Daines (Clair), Joni Grant (Marlin), Roylene Hunter (Brent) and his daughter Shalee Reaveley (Brad) and his two granddaughters, Skylar and Jayda.
The family would like to thank Cache Valley for Hope Cancer Foundation for all their help and support.
A graveside service will be held Monday November 27th at the Logan City Cemetery 1000 North 1200 East at 2:00 p.m. at the southwest corner. Friends and Family welcome, please come celebrate Rob’s life with us and bring a winter coat, it is going to be cold.
