LOGAN, UTAH: Robert Morgan Nelson 85, passed away on March 18, 2013 at his home in
Logan. Robert was the seventh child of eight born to Alexander Morgan and Hazel Hendricks Nelson. He was born on 18 November 1927 in Logan. Robert served in the U S Army from Jan 1946 to July 1947.
Robert married Roma Dee Jones on 9 August 1949 in Logan. They were sealed in the St
. George Temple 28 Dee 1961.
Robert retired from Mobil Oil Corp after 34 years. Living in Las Vegas, Nev., San Francisco
, San Jose and Fresno, Calif. He retired in Phoenix, Ariz. in June 1992. Moving to Logan in Nov. 1992.

He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Roma Dee , all of his children, a brother William Donald (Julia) Nelson of Ogden, Utah and a Sister-in -Law Sharon Nelson of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents
, Sisters, Naomi Nelson and Ardell Nielsen and Brothers, Elmer, Mark, Winston and Max.
Robert was active in the L D S Church holding positions in
Scouting, Young Mens Presidency, Sunday School President, Elders Presidency
, High Priests Presidency, Ward Clerk, Ward and Stake Finance Clerk, Ward and Stake Sports Director. He was also an outstanding softball player.
Funeral services with military honors will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 12:00 pm in theLogan City Cemetery. There will be a viewing Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary and on Saturday from 10:30 - 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund or the Perpetual Education Fund. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
