Robert (Bob) Wallace

June 14, 1958 — January 18, 2016

Robert (Bob) Roy Wallace, age 57 of Logan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 18th at his home surrounded by his sons.

He was born June 14, 1958 in Ogden, Utah to John Matthew Wallace, Jr. and Loa Loretto Cowdin Corcoran. He attended Bonneville and Ogden High Schools. While in high school he had the opportunity and joy to participate in boxing. He continued to do so until he decided to walk away from boxing when he finally lost a match.

He met Peggy Sue Randle and had their first date on August 2, 1978 which began many wonderful years of their companionship . They would later marry on May 27, 1986. They would have had their 30 year anniversary this May. Together they have 3 wonderful sons: Robert C., Michael W., and Shawn A. Wallace.

Bob taught his sons the joy of fishing and camping at their favorite spot up Logan Canyon at Third Dam and Spring Hollow Campground. He was an excellent father and loved his sons very much. Anytime he wasn’t working, he would spend his time with his boys which would include watching Star Trek, playing video games, and watching movies together. They were very close to each other. Bob was a very proud grandpa and loved being with his granddaughter. He was an avid football fan and loved to watch the Green Bay Packers play. Also, Bob always mentioned how proud he was of his father who served on USS Arizona when it was bombed in Pearl Harbor.

He has always loved working on cars ever since he was a boy. This included Dodge Chargers and any other muscle cars. Because of his love and skill of cars, he was employed by Jack’s Tire and Oil and has been working there since 2005. Since he has been there, there has never been a blown engine on any car that he has worked on. He is truly irreplaceable at Jacks Tire and Oil.

Being a Born Again Christian, Bob has loved his Savior and we know that he is with Him now. Bob heavily relied upon God when financial, daily, and/or other trials arose in his life. And he knew that God could get him through anything.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Peggy Sue; his three sons Robert C., Michael W., and Shawn A. Wallace; a granddaughter Naomi Grace; a sister Ann Pierce of Roy, UT; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Loa Wallace, a brother Wayne; aunts and uncles; and his in-laws Harry T. Randle and Margery A. Randle.

A memorial service will be held at a later time this summer. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed online at www.allenmortuaries.net .

The family would like to extend their thanks to the medical staff that tried to save his life. Also, they would like to give a special thanks and love to the family and friends at Jack’s Tire and Oil for all the love you showed him throughout the past 11 years.
