Robert Laverne Varner, 93, passed away December 30, 2005, at Sunshine Terrace in Logan, UT. He was born May 22, 1912, in Johnstown, PA. His parents were David and Savilla Varner. His family moved to Akron, OH, where he attended school.
He married Harriet Arlene Wirth November 19, 1938, in Akron, OH. Last November they celebrated 67 years of love and happiness. He is survived by his wife in Sunshine Terrace, a daughter, Carol (Harold) Kinzer of North Logan, and two grandsons: Jeffery (Sharon) Kinzer, Chalfont, PA, and Gregory Kinzer, Buffalo, NY. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Robert Varner, and by one brother and five sisters.
Robert worked as a milkman in Akron until he created a successful Amway business. In 1970 Robert and Harriet retired to Deltona, FL, and later DeLand, FL. In retirement, they traveled extensively and enjoyed their grandchildren. In 1997 Robert and Harriet moved to Logan to live near their daughter, Carol.
Viewing will be Tuesday, January 3, 2006 from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, North Logan. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
