Rodney Preston Corry, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 14, 2023. He was born on August 23, 1942, in Cedar City, Utah to John Preston and Hilda Stock.
From a young age he developed a strong work ethic and adventurous spirit that led him to pursue a career as a long-haul truck driver. Rod was not just a man of the road; he was a loving husband and father. His devotion to his family was evident in every mile he traveled. He married the love of his life, Ann Robinette, on March 7, 1970 and were later sealed in the Logan, Utah LDS temple. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Beyond the highways and byways, Rod has a passion for his family. He found joy in sharing special moments with his children – whether it be hunting or cooking Sunday dinner, he created bonds that will be held dear forever. His large physical presence was matched only by the size of his compassionate and caring spirit. He had a calming presence that touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving a permanent mark on the hearts of friends and family.
Rodney is survived by his children Don (Suzy), Denice (Riann), Michael (Paul), Jonathan (Jessica), Tyler (Maria), Leslie, his step daughter Heather (Ron), many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Joyce Ricks, Anita (Ed) Phelps, Tom (Kathy) Hendricks.
