Ronald Sheridan Crockett

April 8, 1926 — December 29, 2017

Born April 8, 1926 in Logan, Utah, Ronald Sheridan Crockett grew to be a beloved son, husband, father and grandfather. He attended Woodruff Elementary and Logan Junior High and High Schools.Ron served in the US Coast Guard during WWII and in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Postal service after many years as a mail carrier and clerk. Ron was beloved as a scout master and filled several other callings in the LDS church including service in the baptistery of the Logan Temple. He and his wife also served a mission in Lebanon, Missouri, part of the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Mission. Until he and Marguerite moved to California in 2010, he was an active volunteer with the Hyrum American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Smith of Hyrum, Utah; his parents, Alvin Bernard and Diane Balling Crockett; his identical twin brother, Richard Bartell Crockett; and his sister, Barbara (Clay) Langston. Ronald is survived by two daughters, Penelope (Dennis) Heitman of Yuba City, CA. and Jeraldine (Ivan, deceased)Olsen of Roy, Utah, 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He died on December 29, 2017 in CA. from natural causes.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Hyrum 11th ward chapel. Friends will be greeted from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. that morning. Interment will be in the Hyrum Cemetery.
