Ronald Albert Brush

Ronald Albert Brush, 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, in Logan, Utah, after a long illness.
He was born November 27, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Edgar and Elly Larsen Brush. Married Marylyn Wheeler, February 6, 1955, in Park Forest, Illinois and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1959.
He attended High School in Harvey Illinois, and earned an NROTC scholarship to the University of Illinois in 1950 where he studied aeronautical engineering. He graduated on February 6, 1955, and was commissioned an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. That afternoon he married his eternal companion Marylyn. After leaving active duty, he went to work for Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach California, as a production and test pilot, which gave him the opportunity to travel to many places all over the world. The family settled in Anaheim, California where they lived for 36 years. He retired in 1991 after working at Douglas for 33 years. After retiring, they moved to Mendon, Utah. He was an active faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission with Marylyn, from October 2004 to April 2006, in the Family and Church History mission in Salt Lake City Utah.
Survived by his loving wife, Marylyn Wheeler Brush, daughters, Karen (Kent) Barrett, of Winona, Kansas, Kim (Doug) Cooper, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kristin (Mark) Thacker, Schaumburg, Illinois, and Koleen (Richard) Barrett, Colby, Kansas. Sons, Keith Brush, of Huntington Beach, California, Kirk (SueAnn) Brush, of Springville, Utah and Korry (Kristin) Brush of Layton, Utah. Brothers Robert (Diane) Brush, and Richard (Maria) Brush, and Sister Joyce (Bill) VeZain.. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Brush, mother Elly Larsen Brush and his step-mother Mae O’Reilly Brush.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2006, 12 noon at the Mendon 1st Ward building, 20 North 100 West, Mendon, Utah. Friends may call 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be at the Pioneer Cemetery, Mendon, Utah, following the funeral.
The family would like to express gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses at Logan Regional Hospital, and all of the members of the Mendon 1st Ward who gave kind and loving care to Ron, and support to the family during his illness.
