Rosa Mccann

Rosa McCann, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, at the Logan Regional Hospital.

Rosa was born on Jan. 29, 1924 to Juan Pecollo and Josefa Conesa in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She married Oscar McCann on Nov. 8, 1951 in the Mesa LDS Temple. She then attended Brigham Young University for 3 years. She was a designer for 15 years.

She was an active member of the church and served faithfully in her wards as the Relief Society President, chorister, served as a missionary for 10 years in Argentina, taught 7 primaries, and taught future leaders of the church. She has lived in Buenos Aires Argentina, Provo, Utah; San Diego, CA; Liberty, Missouri; Nibley, Utah; Logan, Utah.

She is survived by her husband Oscar Monroe McCann, Logan; her children: E. Dianne Meldrum, Hyrum; Richard O. (Raquel) McCann, Nibley; Steven (Karen) McCann, Logan; David (Sharone) McCann, Orem. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Maria Ester Pecollo and Emma Rigby, her brother Juan Pecollo, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, at 11:00 AM at the Logan 2nd Ward, 200 West 100 South, Logan. Visitations will be held on Friday, September 16, from 6-8 PM and on Saturday, prior to services from 11:00-11:45 AM at the church. Interment will be in the Preston City Cemetery.
