LOGAN, UTAH: Vee Loray Hale and Janene Renee Booth will greatly miss the loving care of their mother, Rose Mary Cornelius Booth. She passed away October 15, 2010, from natural causes. Born 23 October, 1931, in Fenton, Iowa on a small farm, Rose Mary (Rosie) greatly loved her parents, Paul Smith and Ruth Fern Cornelius. Her siblings included four older brothers, Leonard, Lloyd, Earl, and Duane, and two older sisters, Thelma and Virgene. She is also the loving twin to her brother Ray F. Cornelius. She graduated from Fenton High School as class Valedictorian in 1950. Her favorite activity in school was as a drummer in the band. Rosie also had several jobs in Fenton and after High School, such as drug store clerk, switchboard operator, and as an egg candler. After High School she attended a business college in Omaha, Nebraska. There she met Edwin Jerald Booth. They were married 25 May 1952. They later moved to Fremont, Nebraska, and raised their two daughters. Rosie became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter­Day Saints and was faithful in all her responsibilities there. She was also a Girl Scout Leader to be with her daughters, community chairman for March of Dimes drives and PTA President for Washington Elementary school in Fremont. At Washington School, she worked as a kindergarten teacher's aid for several years. She had a great love for little children and was a teacher and mother influence to all. She was an amazing vegetable and flower gardener all her life. She loved nature and especially feeding and watching birds. Her home was always welcoming and immaculate. Her family was the love of her life, especially little Elijah Scott, her star great-grandson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vee Loray (Mrs. Brent) Hale of Logan and Janene Renee Booth of Ogden, also by five grandchildren, Annalyn Joy Hale of Logan, Aaron Brent (and Tamara) Hale of Raleigh, North Carolina, Keith Allen Hale of Tillamook, Oregon, Derek Peter (and Tristina) Hale of Logan and Scott Wilder (and Elizabeth) Hale of Logan. She is also survived by her twin brother Ray F. Cornelius and a dear sister-in-law Armella Cornelius and many nieces and nephews. Rose Mary is preceded in death by her husband in July 2004, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
A visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday evening, October 19, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center in Logan. The visitation will continue Wednesday, October 20 at the Logan 4th Ward Building 294 North 100 East, Logan, from 9:30 - 10:30 am, with the funeral at 11 :OOam. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery.
