Royal Thell Long, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and
friend passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006 at the University of Utah Hospital.

He was born on August 28, 1926 in Clifton, Idaho to Royal John Long and Maggie
Huggins. He married Carmen Bitters on October 7, 1952 in Providence, Utah.
He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He traveled and lived in
many places throughout the world. After retiring from the Air Force, he and his
family settled in Utah where he worked as an accountant for many years. He loved
to travel and spend time working on cars or in his yard. He cared deeply for his
family. He was a special grandpa and a wonderful dad. His family will miss him
greatly.

Royal is survived by his wife and four children: Diane (Barry) Winget of Roy, Gene
(Faith) Long of Ogden, Nancy Berriochoa of Clinton, and John (Barbara) Long of
Ogden. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his brother,
Jay (Betsy) Long of Bountiful, and his sister, Sherry (Jerry) Bailey of Sunset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Venice Bowen, and a brother, Fawn
Long.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the
Providence City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
