Ruth Ann Clark

June 19, 1954 — June 18, 2024

North Logan, Utah

Ruth Ann Raymond Clark passed away peacefully in her home June 18,2024 surrounded by family at her home in North Logan.

Ruth Ann was born June 19, 1954, to Jack Clinton Raymond and Robbie Lou Baize in Logan, UT. The family relocated many times in her younger years as her dad was a seminary and institute teacher. She attended schools in Smithfield Utah, Bakersfield California, graduating from Powell High School (Powell, Wyoming) in 1972. She continued her education at Rick’s College, Utah State University and Weber State in the nursing program, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1977.

She was employed at the old LDS hospital in Logan, Utah where she met and fell in love with her sweetheart Dennis Clark who was also working there as an orderly. They were married in the Logan Temple September 10,1976, by her grandfather George Raymond who was the Temple President at the time. They were the parents of 5 sons and 2 daughters. She dedicated 35 years at Logan Regional Hospital until her retirement in 2009. She was a skilled Pediatric Nurse as well as a Nursing Supervisor. She worked for many years as the Nurse Manager of Float Pool, Staffing Office and Nursing Supervisors. She was loved and respected by her staff and the patients. She was dedicated and supportive to her co-workers. She provided many opportunities to the staff and always helped them develop in their careers. She was a friend and mentor to many.

Ruth Ann was service oriented and always willing to accept any calling. She served in the church in various roles including Primary President, Stake Primary Presidency, Young Women’s Leader, and in the Relief Society Presidency. She was an accomplished pianist and served in that capacity as well. Her most treasured calling was serving as a Missionary RN in the North Ogden Mission from May 2017- December 2019.

She was a great cook and seamstress. Even as a busy working mother she made the time to sew beautiful clothing for her family and everyone loved “Ruthie’s Rolls”. She supported her children and grandchildren in attending their sporting events and helping them learn and grow as individuals. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams. She was a kind and loving grandmother and liked helping the grandkids with crafts. She enjoyed quilting and the friends she made through that hobby. She also loved machine embroidery and made many sets of monogramed towels for missionaries. You could always find her reading a good mystery novel.

Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of 47 years C. Dennis Clark of Hyde Park, UT; five sons and daughters-in-laws Brian R. and Kristi Clark (Herriman, UT), Jason L. and Loni Clark (Hyrum, UT), Matthew D. and Camie Clark (Hyde Park, UT), Michael R. and Natalie Clark (Sandy, UT), Steve M. and Madisen (Tremonton, UT); two daughters and son-in-laws, Michelle and Andrew Pitcher, (North Logan, UT), Stacey and Jordan Watkins (Lehi, UT); and her 23 grandchildren.
