Ruth Olson Lewis of River Heights Utah passed away
July 16th 2011.
Ruth was born Oct 11th 1930 in River Heights, Utah to
Heber Lehi Olson and Anna Hinton Davis .
She was the youngest of nine and the last surviving of
her eight siblings, John, Gene, Clyde, Frank, Ray, Florence,
Opal, and LaRue.
In her early years she worked on farms in Benson
picking beans, Car hopping in Logan, and on her Dads farm in
River Heights, picking Red and Black currents! One of her
many hobbies were putting photo albums together and
crocheting.
She met Morris B. Lewis at Utah State University and
they had their first date on Valentines Day Feb 14,
1955 . They fell in love. And on September 22, 1955 they
were married, for time and eternity, in the Logan L.D.S.
Temple. After they were married, one of Ruths first jobs was
working for Thunnell Photography . She later worked
for 12 years at First Security Bank as a switch board
operator. She then retired, to spend time at home
raising her kids. Ruth and Morris built a new home in River
Heights in 1960, next door to her parents home, they have
resided there to the present time. Ruth and Morris have two
children, Gary, and Emily Ann, and one grandaughter, Trixie
Emily Schenk. The family would like to express their
gratitude to Rocky Mountain Home Care for their tender
understanding and help for Ruth in her failing health
Funeral services will be held at the River Heights 2nd
Ward chapel 600 East 800 South on Friday July 22nd at
11:00am. Friends may call at the stake from 10:00am till time of services. Interment will be in the Providence/River
