Ruth Williamson Sears, 80, of Logan, Utah, passed away peacefully on the 7th day of May,
2016, after a valiant fight with multiple health issues.
Ruth was born in Paradise, Utah, on February 26th, 1936. She was the fourth child of five
children born to Vern and Beth Williamson. Ruth graduated from South Cache High
School. She went on to marry Bob Sears, in the Logan LDS 'Temple, on March 26, 1953.
Ruth worked at Fred's Flowers for many years, where she used her creative abilities to
design beautiful floral arrangements. She had the opportunity to participate in the
Teleflora National Conference in 1971, where she won honors for her incredible designs.
Ruth loved decorating flowers for both family and friend's wedding receptions. She was
indeed an artist in floral arrangements.
Throughout Ruth's life she was indeed a perfectionist. She always went the extra mile to
make sure that everything was done to the nine's.
Ruth enjoyed golfing, spending time in her yard, and being with her family. In recent years,
she never tired of going fishing with Bob.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two infant children, Robert Fred and Steven
Scott. Also her brothers and sister, Don and Kay Williamson, and JoAnn Riggs.
She is survived by her husband Bob, her daughter Debra Wilson (Steve), her son Michael
Sears (Veronica), her sister Gale (Gary) Kendrick, her brother-in-law Max Sears (Jackie),
her sister-in-law Julie (Harmon) Eyre, her grandchildren: Shane (Meagan), Cory, Dane,
Meaghann, Tanner, and Morgann. She also leaves behind seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. in Logan. Friends may call from 12-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to all who cared for Ruth over the years.
We will be forever grateful. Ruth will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, by all who
knew and loved her.
