Ruth Bright Wertman
March 5, 1933 — October 17, 2015
LOGAN, UTAH: Ruth Bright Wertman was born March 5,1933 to Adrun Bright and Sadie Mathews Bright. She passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015. She was raised and educated in Richmond Utah. Ruth graduated from North Cache High School in 1951.
She married Alden Bybee, they were later divorced. On September 27,1956 she married Keith Charles Wertman. They lived for a time in Germany where Keith was stationed in the Army. Later they moved to Logan Utah where they resided until the time of her death.
Ruth worked to help support the family by working at Delmonte Corp. and Bournes Networks. She loved to travel, her favorite destinations being Hawaii and Florida. Many wonderful times were spent in Bear Lake where Keith and Ruth parked their trailer during the summers. This became a destination for family and friends where many fond memories were made. Spending time with family always brought joy to Ruth.
Ruth's favorite activity was bowling. Keith and Ruth cherish the many friends they made as members of various bowling leagues. Some of her favorite memories are attending the many National Bowling Tournaments traveling to Yuma, Seattle, Reno, Salt Lake and other locations.
For the past 20 years Ruth has endured many surgeries and increasing pain. Her family is grateful to the many doctors, nurses, home health care professional, and hospice for the aide they have given.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Bright, and sisters, Wanda Miller, and Martile Demos, and an infant daughter.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Keith C. Wertman, Logan Utah, brother Glen Bright, Soda Springs Idaho. Children; Geary (Marsha) Bybee, Tremonton Utah. Rodney (Susan, deceased,) Salt Lake Utah. Debra, (Levi) Higley, Fielding Utah. Warren (Valerie) Wertman, Red Wing Minnesota. Mathew (Loy Jean) Wertman, Richmond Utah.
Angela Wertman, Salt Lake Utah. Many grandchildren and great- grandchildren who had wonderful times with grandma.
Ruth's final wishes were that her body be cremated, and her ashes inured in the Richmond City Cemetery. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 30th at 11:00 am in the Richmond Cemetery.
