Laketown, Utah: Ruth Lavon Wilson passed away March 3, 2008 at the Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah after a brief illness.
She was a special daughter born September 14, 1956, the fifth child of Charles Edward Wilson Jr. and Wilma LaVon Ellis Wilson. In 1971 she was part of the first class to attend the Cache Training Center in Logan where her mother was a teacher. She lived in Lewiston, Utah almost all of her life and enjoyed making many friends there. She attended the Lewiston 4th Ward of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and then the 3rd Ward when the boundaries were changed. Each Sunday she faithfully set out the song books in Relief Society. She especially enjoyed meeting with the Cache Valley Special Needs Mutual on Thursday evenings. She had a great love for music and rhythm.
She loved to dance and would sing along with songs she recognized. She loved notebooks, colored markers, favorite TV shows, fingernail polish, candy, cats, holidays, and getting mail from her friends and family. She was very diligent in writing about all of her activities and interests in her many notebooks. She kept a close watch on the calendar and always knew what day it was. She was very tidy with her belongings and her room.
After her parents passed away she went to Laketown to live with her sister. She made many new friends there and again set out the song books in Relief Society. During the last year she became an honorary member of the ward Primary and enjoyed being with the children and their leaders. Her special spirit will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Robinson Wilson.
She is survived by her brothers: Charles E. Wilson III (Lucinda) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Samuel E. Wilson (Pamela) of Salt Lake City, Utah; and sister: Kathryn W. Lillywhite (Kenneth) of Laketown, Utah.
