Sarah Louise Jensen Goodsell, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday morning, September 6, 2024.

Sarah was born on July 26, 1933 to LeGrande (Dick) and Maurine Jensen. She was born and raised in her family home in Collinston, Utah. She graduated from Bear River High School. She married her sweetheart Darrell V. Goodsell in Logan LDS Temple on March 31, 1951.

After living in Olathe, Kansas from 1951-1952 where Darrell served in the Air Corp., they moved to Newton, Utah where they spent the rest of their lives together. Mom worked at Thiokol Corporation as a secretary for 33 years and helped dad with his Cache Valley Fire Extinguisher business. Mom and Dad served as temple workers in the Logan LDS Temple for 5 years. She served in the Family History Center in the Logan Tabernacle for many years as well as other church callings. Mom and dad also enjoyed serving as volunteers in the Logan Ellen Eccles Theater.

Mom enjoyed crocheting and made hundreds of afghans for her family including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed water skiing, snowmobiling, camping with family, and traveling with her husband Darrell in their motorhome. She loved supporting her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their sporting and other activities. Most of all mom just loved being involved in ever aspect of her families lives.

Mom is survived by her daughter Jeanette (Brent) Jorgensen, son, Jerry (Leona) Goodsell, son Lynn (Darlene) Goodsell and daughter Joanne (Mark) Peterson; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Reva (Bob) Andersen and Connie Simmons; and 2 sisters-in-law, Marva Jensen and Gwen Dahle.

Mom is preceded in death by her husband Darrell; her parents, Dick and Maurine Jensen; 3 brothers, Harold, Larry and Clain Jensen, and 2 sisters, Irene Jensen and Norma Booth.

She has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

As per mom's request, there will be no viewing or funeral. Graveside services will be held at the Newton Cemetery at 11am on Monday, Sept. 9th. A private family viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary from 9-10am just prior to the graveside service.

The family is grateful for and want to thank nurse Rhon and hospice for the great care that they provided to our mother for the past 16 months. Mom loved and appreciated them.
