LOGAN, UTAH: Sarah Mae Orison, 91 passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in Logan, Utah.
She was born on May 11, 1919 to Elizabeth Harriet Allen and William Ashton in Woodruff, Idaho. She had five sisters and one brother; all have passed on. Mae was the second to the oldest among her siblings. Esther was the oldest, then Sarah Mae, Nola, Anna, Alan , Doris and Ruth. Sarah Mae had her schooling in Woodruff, Idaho, then attending high school and graduating from Malad High School in Malad, Idaho. She was married to Charles H. Orison Jr. in Malad on January 14, 1939. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 11, 1956. They were the parents of three children; C. William Orison (Gloria) of Cedar City; DeAnn Williams of Provo and Sharon Webb (DeMoyn) of Richmond. She also has 16 grandchildren and 41+ great-grandchildren and some great-great-grandchildren. She loves to see an visit her family and enjoys hearing of their accomplishments.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed teaching primary , being a visiting teacher and especially singing in the choir in the Logan 3rd Ward. She still enjoys music, church and classical and Lawrence Welk programs.
Sarah and Charles ran a dry farm in Arbon Valley, Idaho for many years. They would live there in summers and move back to Logan in the fall after the crops were planted.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at 11:00 am in the Logan 3rd Ward Chapel (250 North 400 West). There will be a viewing Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary (34 East Center Street in Logan) and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 am.
