Scott Konrad Christensen

Scott Konrad Christensen passed away in the morning of October 7th, 2024, at Rocky Mountain Care at the age of 67 after a long illness. Born on December 15th, 1956, in Logan, Utah, he was the son of Ross Fredrickson Christensen and Jennie Mae Jensen Christensen, the youngest of three brothers.

Scott attended Adams Elementary School, Mount Logan Middle School, and graduated from Logan High School in 1974. Scott was very involved in athletics at Logan High, lettering in football, basketball, and tennis. After high school, Scott attended Utah State University, participating in tennis and majoring in accounting. Soon after, he moved to Santa Barbara, California where he lived until returning to Logan where he spent the last few years of his life. While in California, Scott was employed by Quest Diagnostics as a courier. His job entailed picking up and delivering lab tests and results to a number of medical labs in the Santa Barbara area. He really did enjoy his job, as he loved being outside instead of in an office. He also enjoyed meeting with people, and traveling throughout the Santa Barbara area. Scott received recognition for his work at Quest, being awarded a 20 year certificate for his employment there.

In spite of his history with health concerns, Scott was a doer. He liked doing things and going places. If he was in town for an Aggie or high school football, basketball, or baseball game, he was eager to go. Following his retirement from his career in California, he enjoyed attending and supporting nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews in all of their sports and other activities.

There were never too many ball games for Scott! He loved participating, watching, and listening to all sports throughout his life. If someone suggested a cook-out or going out to dinner, Scott was all in. A good movie in town? Scott for sure would want to go see it. Up until he no longer possibly could, he would be there with us. Scott's mind remained sharp until his physical body gave out. He had an incredible knowledge of trivia. Ask him a question about sports, movies, tv shows, or current events and chances are good he would come up with the answer. He amazed us with that ability. He handled his health issues with strength and perseverance, and his presence will be truly missed.

Scott was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his two brothers, Randy (Rhonda) and Kent, his three nephews, Dylan, Cole and Ben and their families, his uncle Rodney Jensen and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his caring parents, Ross and Jennie Christensen, and his special grandparents, aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank the medical staff and caregivers at Logan Regional Hospital, Rocky Mountain Care, Williamsburg Retirement Community, and Intermountain Medical Center in Murray for their wonderful care and concern for Scott. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 12 p.m. in the Hyde Park cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend.
