Scott Curtis Macpherson

November 3, 1983 — October 4, 2015

Scott Curtis MacPherson, was born in Logan, Utah Nov 03, 1983 to Douglas and Mary Jane MacPherson. He passed away unexpectedly, October 04, 2015 in North Logan, Utah. Scott grew up in Logan, Utah, and attended schools in Logan and Layton where he was a star wrestler at Sunset Jr. High and Northridge High Schools. As a child, he always played hard and was in a hurry to grow up. He married Blair Reese and from this union, a son, Tayton, was born. Tayton was his miracle child and his pride and joy. They later divorced. For the last ten years his companion and love of his life has been Shay Spackman, and he was a loving step-father to Tristan and Jordan Spackman.
Scott started working on the oil rigs in Pinedale, Wyoming. It was a great love of his and he took pride in his work for Ensign Oil. He did many rig changes and learned many positions on the oil rigs with his time in the company. Scott had a love for motorcycles and was so happy the day he purchased a Harley Davidson. He rode his Harley with such enthusiasm. He enjoyed riding with friends and the rush of the Harley under him. Scott had a joy for life and a contagious smile, and so much energy it took two mothers to raise him. Sue Herschi Barson has been a continuous force in Scott’s life. Scott always had a way of defending his sisters, and anyone that was an underdog. He was always there to help whether it was fixing a car or help you move, all you had to do was call him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Scott is survived by his parents, son, siblings, and grandmother, Rhea Nelson. Scott was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Don and Nelda Kidd MacPherson, & John Reed Jackson . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, Oct 12, 2015 in the Bridgerland Park Ward building, 280 West 1200 North, Logan with a visitation from 9:30-10:30 am. Internment will be in the Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott’s name can be made at American First Credit Union to help defray funeral costs.
