Scott Eli Douglass, 65, of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday September 8th, 2010 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Scott was born October 21, 1944 in Smithfield Utah, to Glenn and Louise Bradley Douglass.

Scott grew up in Smithfield and graduated from North Cache High School and Utah State University, where he received a Master's Degree in English.

Scott married Susan Hampton, who preceded him in death in 1986.

Scott taught English and Seminary for many years. Many of the friendships he formed during this time continued throughout his life. After his career in Education, he spent the next 20+ years working for the City of Logan until his retirement.

Survived by his wife of twenty years, Katlheen, his children, Melissa(Rob)Smith, Tracy Lund, Brady(Sam)Douglass, Amy(Mike)Nyman, Denise Gittins, David Gittins, Emily Douglass and 17 grandchildren.

Also survived by brothers, Paul(Jean)Douglass, Tony(Ruby)Douglass and sisters Glenna Douglass, Jackie(David)Poulsen and Cindy(Brent)Christensen.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Larrie Douglass and Billie Douglass.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.

Interment will be in the Smithfield City cemetery.
