Sharon H. Weston

Sharon Holt Weston, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, March 22, 2015.
Sharon was born in Payson, Utah on April 13, 1958 to Sharil and Gale Holt. She was the oldest of four children. She met her husband Owen while teaching in Laketown. The two were married on June 5, 1981 in the Logan temple.
Sharon worked at South Cache Junior High as a FACS teacher. While she loved working with young people, Sharon was looking forward to retirement so she would be able to spend more time with her family.
Sharon had a great love for life. She enjoyed gardening and savored every moment she spent with her family. She especially loved being a grandmother to her four little energetic grandsons. She was truly the epitome of a loving, warm grandmother full of hugs, kisses and kind encouragement.
Sharon possessed a strong spirit to the very end of her life. Just over five years ago, Sharon was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. She bravely received treatment, with an incredible attitude and often a smile, and to the surprise of all her doctors became cancer-free about a year ago. Her family is especially grateful for the extended time they were given to spend with Sharon.
Sharon's great compassion for others was felt by so many. She was always willing to serve others first, thinking little of herself. She truly was a great example of love in action. She was simply a classy lady, full of spunk and life, who inspired all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
She had the great ability of understanding others and could easily set those around her at ease She was warm, loving and welcomed others into her life and her heart. Sharon uplifted and influenced others to be kinder. The world is better and brighter because of her presence.
Sharon is survived by her husband Owen and her three children: Thayne (Natasha), Megan (Kyle) and Nolan; her four grandsons: Andrew, Spencer, Peter and Shawn; her mother, Sharil, two brothers, Craig and Brian, and sister Shauna.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care she received at the Cache Valley Cancer Treatment Center and for all those who have been so supportive and helpful to her and the family.

Services will take place at 11:00 AM at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. on Friday, March 27th. There will be no viewing prior. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
