Shelley Anne O'Scanlon

Shelley Anne O'Scanlon, 62, our beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Niece and Aunt passed away at her home in Hyde Park on December 21st, 2018. Born July 4th, 1956 in Auckland, New Zealand, the eldest of seven children of Alan and Rae Patterson.
Shelley was smart, beautiful, kind, and sincere. Her greatest joy was family, and she loved being with them more than anything else. Shelley was an avid reader, had beautiful penmanship, and was a great lover of the cinema, travel, and Christmas. She had exquisite taste and a special way of giving gifts to those she loved. She was a great listener, a loyal friend who took the time to know people's hearts. Though in the last few years she had many physical struggles, Shelley's razor-sharp wit and intense kindness shone through.
Shelley is survived by her adoring husband of 39 years, George; four daughters: Lesley (Job) Cyril, Carly (Peter) Cowley, Gayle, and Sara; mother Florence Rae Patterson; siblings Graham (Losa), Terry (Sally), John (Virginia), Janene (Nick) Matthews, Donna (Marcellus) Apelu, and Kim (Anthony) Reneti; aunty Andrea Coutts; and six grandchildren Nathaniel, Zaylen, Rebekah, Benjamin, Isaac, and Caleb. She was preceded in death by her father Alan Patterson and Grandmother Ailsa Coutts.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen Mortuary. Services will be held December 29th, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 480 N. 100 W. Hyde Park, UT 84318. A viewing will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Funeral services to follow at 12 noon in the chapel. Burial will be at the Hyde Park Cemetery.
