Sherry Elaine Sanders Wilkinson was born November 10, 1947 in Opelika, AL. She walked through the veil to the spirit world on November 28, 2017, on her Mother’s birthday. Sherry’s greatest accomplishments in this life are joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enduring to the end. Raising her 5 children who all stayed faithful in the church is where her happiness is found.
She accomplished her mission on this earth to bring the gospel to her family both the living and those who have passed. Through her life work she has opened the hearts of countless children of God. She reached through the veil to her family accomplishing work for those on the other side, bringing the gospel to both the living and the dead. Her life was filled with the sorrows of mortality. Trials of finances, divorce, and illness plagued her mortal life. Through it all she found happiness and peace. She enjoyed her work in the gospel and the temple, always helping and serving others. She is a shining example of peace, hope and faith. She will continue her work of spreading the gospel to those she meets on the other side. She would have us all know that she loves us and will be watching over and helping us from the other side.
Sherry is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Edd (Monica), Pam (Steve), Miracle (Adam), Michelle (Scott), Richard (Janae). She is also survived by her father, Virgil Sanders, her sisters, Betty Joyner, Katrenia Bissell. She also leaved behind 37 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, mother and 3 grandsons.
