Sheryl Laree Gittins Johnson passed away on March 7, 2024, at the Logan Regional Hospital surrounded by her entire family.
She was born July 21, 1940 in Logan, Utah. A daughter of Ervin Gittins and Beulah Eggleston Gittins. Her parents later divorced, and at age five she was blessed with a new father when her mom married Reuben Halstead Walton. She called him "Daddy"! This union added three siblings, Arda Mae, Ron Reuben, and Randy to the five she already had. Lloyd, Budd, Marvin, LaWanna, and Ray. She attended schools in Millville, Providence, Mendon, Wellsville, and South Cache.
She met and married her best friend, her sweetheart David Ellis Johnson in August of 1958. This marriage was later solumnized in the Logan LDS Temple in August of 1965. Their marriage blessed them with three children, Rick, Arlene, and Jerry.
She worked at Woolworth's, BlueBird Candies, and Herff Jones. Where she made many life long friends. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, camping, sitting out side around a picnic table or a round the kitchen table with a good cup of coffee. She loved when her friends, and family walked through the door for a visit.
She is survived by her husband David. Her Three Children and their spouses Rick & Teena Johnson, Arlene & Clair Bergeson, and Jerry & Karen Johnson. 9 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren. Her sister LaWanna Johnston, a sister-in-law Donna Gittin, and a brother Randy Walton. She is Proceeded in death by her parents. Four brothers, Lloyd Gittins, Budd Gittins, Marvin Gittins and Ray Gittins, along with two grandchildren David Jay Johnson and Kylie Johnson.
On Friday March, 15 2024 A grave side service will be held at the Beaver Dam Cemetery located at 16001-16099 North 1200 West Collinston, UT 84306. A viewing service will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM at Allen-Hall Mortuary located at 34 E. Center Street, Logan Utah prior to the grave side service.
The family would like to give thanks to Maple Spring facility, and the IHC's ICU staff and the IHC hospice team. In Lieu of Flowers, the family would like you to go out and enjoy life with family and friends.
