Shirlee Stauffer Darley

February 1, 1924 — May 20, 2014

Shirlee Stauffer Darley passed away peacefully on May 20, 2014 at her home in Wellsville. Shirlee was born February 1, 1924 in Logan, the tenth of eleven children born to Henry and Claudia Stauffer. She grew up in Mendon where she helped with the family business and developed a strong work ethic. She graduated from South Cache High School where she met her sweetheart, Archie M. Darley. They were married on September 17, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised five daughters. Her optimistic personality and positive outlook on life inspired us all. She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Ann (Dean) Brenchley of Centerville, Brenda (David) Leishman of Wellsville, Cindee (Ross) Jensen of West Valley City, Elizabeth (Jack) Snodgress of Taylorsville, and Nanette (Scott) Davis of North Ogden; 22 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 28 in the Wellsville Stake Center, 30 South Center Street. Friends and family may call from 6:30- to 8:30 pm Tuesday, May 27 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan and from 10:30- 11:30 am, Wednesday prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Wellsville Cemetery.
