LOGAN, UTAH: Shirly Horne Jones 75, passed peacefully away in her home in Logan, Utah on February 4, 2011.
She was born August 11, 1935 to Lee & Myrtle Clark Horne in Logan, Utah.
Married to John Junior Jones May 6, 1952 “The love of her life.” He passed away March 15, 1962, he was in the military heading to Clark Air Force base North of Manila that vanished on March 15, 1962.
They we’re proud parents of 2 children. She was a special lady that would do anything for anyone . She was a warm beautiful hearted woman, who enjoyed spending time with family, friends, & grandchildren. She was a kind of lady that wouldn’t leave the house until she look like she just walked out of a beauty salon. A lady that everyone loved to be around. She is survived by her daughter Sherrie (David) Kaae of Logan, Utah & brother Ronald (Shirlia) Horne of Brigham, Utah.
She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grand child. Also survived by her foster family Al & Diane Lewis and family of Logan, Utah.
She preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, John Jay Jones, two brothers, Merl Horne & Gail Horne & a grandson Jeffry Derek Hanson.
We love you mom, Grandma, & friend. We will miss you and love you very much.
A viewing will be held Monday February 7, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary and Tuesday from 1:00 - 1:45 pm followed by a graveside service @ 2:00 pm in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net
