Shirley Williams passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2015 in Salt Lake City. Born April 18, 1930 in Henderson, North Carolina to James Robert Vaughan and Ethel Lillian Bowen. She met her husband Glenn R. Williams while he was stationed as a paratrooper in North Carolina. They were married on November 11, 1955.
Shirley was employed by Tracy Collins for 16 years and worked for Walt Gasser and Associates as well. Shirley was described by many who knew her as feisty and full of life. She loved her family and never forgot her North Carolina roots. She loved to travel, shop, cook, read, sew and always kept her house immaculate. Preceded in death by her husband Glenn R. Williams She is survived by daughter, Wendy Lynn; son, Beynon; daughter-in-law, Robin; grandaughters, Brittany and Rachel; grandson, Tyler; and great grandchildren, Domanic, Parker and Kylie. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday Aug 1, 4pm to 7pm at 2159 E Keller Lane in East Millcreek. Afterwords, we will be returning her ashes to her beloved North Carolina.
