Sid Roskelley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025 at the age of 92. He left behind a legacy of love, faith, service, and an enduring devotion to his family.

Sid was born on November 10, 1932 to Martin and Lila Hancey Roskelley. He lived in Smithfield, Utah until 10th grade when the family moved to Logan, Utah. While attending Logan High School he met the love of his life, Joan Wilson. After graduating in 1951, they began attending Utah State University.

On August 6, 1954, Sid and Joan were married in the Logan Utah Temple. Soon after, they moved to Chicago, where Sid attended Northwestern University Dental School and Joan worked to support them. In 1958, Sid graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. That same May, they welcomed their first daughter, Cindy. Returning to Logan, Sid established his dental practice, where he served the community for 33 years. Sid and Joan raised their 3 children in a home filled with warmth and love. Sid was a devoted father who taught by example. He had a generous heart, eager to help others with his time and money.

Sid’s life was defined by his deep faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to His church. He served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Bishop, Stake Presidency member, temple ordinance worker, and gospel doctrine teacher. He loved to study the gospel and share his knowledge with ward members, family, and friends. Sid and Joan enjoyed their time serving as Visitor Center Missionaries in St. George, Utah.

Travel was an important part of Sid and Joan’s life together. They loved spending time with their children, grandchildren, and friends. Some of their most cherished memories were made in Bear Lake, Lake Powell, and in their St. George home. Sid loved playing golf! When he wasn’t golfing or spending time with his family, you could find him in his study satisfying his quest for knowledge. Not only did he love Church History, he had a broad understanding of various subjects. Sid Roskelley's life was one of faith in action. He loved his family dearly. His legacy will forever be written in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; their children: Cindy (Lynn) Nielsen, Linda Kerr, and Rick (Linda) Roskelley; 15 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and a son-in-law, Kevin Kerr.
