Stacie Young, 43, died February 25, 2025 in North Logan, Utah of liver and kidney failure.
She was born on September 9, 1981 at Logan, Utah, the daughter of Allen J. and Teresa M. Young.
She was raised in Oregon, New Hampshire, and Logan, Utah. She attended Boston University.
Stacie worked in many areas of cybersecurity. She was a non-military analyst during the Iraq War. When she returned she worked as a cybersecurity specialist for the State Department, FBI, and Homeland Security. Many of her jobs required her to travel to countries that needed help in setting up security systems. Her latest job took her to Bosnia.
She loved to travel around the world and was a voracious reader. She loved to cook for others and dreamed of retiring to Italy to run a bed and breakfast.
She was married, but later divorced.
She is survived by her parents and siblings: Mark (Lacey), Cove, Utah, Melissa (Shane), California, and Richard (Yuka), Tokyo, Japan. She is also survived by both grandmothers and nieces and nephews.. She is preceded in death by her two grandfathers.
A short graveside service will be held on March 5, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Logan Cemetery. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2540 North 400 East in North Logan, Utah. Interment will be at the North Logan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Salt Lake City, Utah. Special thanks are extended to the caregivers at the Gables Care facility for their kindness and care while Stacie was with them. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Allen-Hall Mortuaries. She was deeply loved and will be missed.
