PROVIDENCE, UTAH: Stephen George Everton, 53, beloved son, husband, father and grandfather died Monday, March 3, 2008 at his home in Providence.
He was born May 5, 1954 in Logan a son of George and Louise Mathews Everton.
He attended school at Logan High School and Bridgerland Tech. Stephen married Sheila Gay Nielsen on November 17, 1972. After their marriage they lived briefly in Logan and have resided in Providence for the last 18 years. He and his wife, Sheila had worked as a team at Everton Publishers, a family business for many years and both presently worked driving truck as a team for L.W. Miller Transportation. Stephen was an inventive cook and was known for his fudge he sold via the website as far away as England. His hobby was gardening where he grew many vegetables and a large patch of hollyhocks.
Stephen was an avid outdoorsman and liked to camp, cross country ski, hunt, sail and fish with his family. He loved his son and granddaughters more than life itself and would spend every minute with them that he could.
They have one son, Christopher E. (Natasha) Everton, Nibley and three adored grandchildren, Ashlee Rose, Rielee Rae and Hailee Ann Everton. He is survived by his wife Sheila, mother, Louise Everton, two sisters, Carrie (Richard) Singleton; Marion Buchanan, two brothers, Lee (Alisha) Everton; Andrew Everton. He was preceded in death by his father George B. Everton Jr.; a sister, Elizabeth Ann and a brother, Peter Mathew.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services.
