Steven Colin Lindley, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 3, 1955, in Logan, Utah, the youngest child of William Leishman Lindley and Colene Cooper Lindley. He was educated in Cache County Schools and graduated from Sky View High School in 1973 where he excelled in sports and wrestled at 98 lbs. his sophomore year.
Steve was a modern day storyteller and known for his quick wit and famous one-liners. He had a great love for his family and friends. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone. We will never forget his kindness for others and generous spirit. He will always be remembered for his larger than life personality.
Steve was a hard worker and successful in agricultural. He was a partner in his fathers dairy. In 1979 their family was recognized as Farm Family of the Year in Cache Valley.
In 1975 he married Laurie Jean Hone and had three daughters. He later married Jane Ashman and had a daughter and his long awaited son, “The Boy.”
He is survived by mother, Colene Lindley of Amalga and his two sisters: Kristie (Dan) Lawton, Roy; Kathy(Edward) Rigby, Wellsville. Children Jan Lindley, St. George; Kelli Lindley, Logan; Amy Lindley Petersen(Jared), American Fork; Emily Shae Lindley, Smithfield; Jesse Colin Lindley, Smithfield. As well as six grandchildren and an extended family that he loved very much.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to first responders, Logan Regional E.R staff with a special thanks to Dr. May, Medical floor nurses and staff.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13th at 11 a.m. in the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan, Utah. There will be a viewing Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and also Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. also at the mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family online at
